Silver zooms to all-time high of Rs 57,695

Mumbai, Apr 5 (UNI) Breaking all previous records, Silver today zoomed up by Rs 795 per kg to end at an all-time high of Rs 57,695, on brisk demand from local dealers coupled with firm global cues, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association (BBA) said.

While, Gold shed by Rs 15 per ten gm to Rs 20,745.

In the opening session, Silver crossed 58K mark to Rs 58,025.

At the end of the day, it came down from its opening level to end strong at an all-time-high of Rs 57,695, up by Rs 795, compared with its previous close.

Standard and pure varieties of Gold increased by Rs 55 per ten gm each in the opening session, before ending in red at Rs 20,745 for standard variety and Rs 20,845 for pure variety.

Standard and pure varieties of Gold slid by Rs 15 per ten gm each on lack of buying demand from local dealers, traders said.

In international markets like London, the precious metals advanced as Gold soared to USD 38.42 an ounce and Silver went up to USD 14.38 an ounce.
